This location is an awesome bowling alley and pool hall in downtown Vancouver on Granville Street. They let us rent the place out, setup our lights, and it was all in all a sweet and cheap location.Directions to Location:

I recently did a fashion photography shoot at the Commodore Billards and it was perfect. Lots of great nooks and crannies and cool locations and the staff was very flexible.

Skytrains and the skytrain stations are a great location for photoshoots. Sometimes the security looks at you kinda funny, but ultimately they cannot really ask you to leave. Gaolers Mews

Gaolers Mews in Gastown is an awesome spot. It's like going back in time. Lots of cobblestone and brick and retro signage. It has a fire escape style stairwell you can shoot on in one part of it and the beautiful famous red door of the Shebeen Whiskey Bar behind the Irish Heather in another part.Directions to Location:
This is the area behind the Gassy Jack statue which is where Alexander and Powell street meet to form Water Street at Carrall. There are a couple entrances... one between the cowboy shop and The Salty Tongue on Carrall Street, and one between the dog store and the architechture firm on Water street.

Beautiful loft on Granville Street that Sara Dent has turned into a commercial photography studio. Great light, ability to shut out any natural light too, rooftop access, makeup station, some gear to borrow, etc. Non-coporate rates. $150 per half day and $250 for a full day.Directions to Location:

Water Street Alley

There is a great alley that runs the length of Gastown between Water Street and the railyard. Lots of graffiti, tagging, rust, metal, grates, doors, etc etc.Directions to Location:
Park on Water Street (free parking between Carrall and Abbot on Water Street) and walk North into the alley.
Notes:
As tempting as it might be you will get a ticket if you go into the railyard.
